Amending the Constitution
The constitution wasn't perfect when it was written, so to accommodate with newer problems, we amend it, in hopes that it will change things for the better. The process, however, is simple.
1. The amendment must be proposed. Congress must agree on it with at least two-thirds in favor. Then, two-thirds of the states must call Congress to hold a convention for it.
2. The amendment must be ratified. Three-fourths of the states must approve of the amendment, at least within seven years of proposing it.
That's all there is to it.
